Red, Round & Country Poem by Marilyn Lott

Red, Round & Country

Rating: 5.0

Barns are a pleasure to visit
No matter where I go
Surrounded by different animals
Gives barns a special glow

Tractors and pieces of equipment
Like bailers, mowers and rakes
All that we need to raise feed
For there is a lot here at stake

But do you think it really matters
Just how a barn appears?
As long as there is plenty of feed
Animals are content from what I hear

But sometimes you see a barn
That is just not a typical building
It’s more like a show piece, my friend
That’s what observers are feeling

That is how it is with a certain barn
One you really should see
For nothing is like a barn that is
Wonderfully red, round and country!

Red, round and country, that's what it's all about, we run across these show pieces now and then, right here - in Texas. A swell read Marilyn! Friend Thad
