Redeeming Love Poem by Noen Muti

Redeeming Love

Rating: 5.0

In the beginning, when God spoke to Hosea,
He commanded, 'Go, wed a woman of harlotry,
And bear children of harlotry, for the land
Is given to harlotry, forsaking Me.'

Oh, how love can redeem the most unclean,
As Hosea saw the woman he wedded
Was one of ill repute, yet love unseen
Redeemed her soul, and love was not misplaced.

For though she played the harlot, love prevailed,
And in her heart, a seed of love was sown,
That love, so pure and true, did not assail
The past, but loved her all the more.

Oh, how love can redeem the most unclean,
And love, so pure and true, will ever be.
