Reflections On '88

One man looking back on a year
was Robbie Burns on '88.

Of Australia he mentions naught.

Politics aside,
Bawtie his dog had died.

The landlady's cock
wouldn't tread the hen.

No prayed-for good
came to pass.

Many a bonnie lass
lost a frien'
she never could lose again.
