Tears. There are no tears.
To cool flushed cheeks.
Sate flaming eyes boiling
soft mist vapoured life.
Saline tears salted bitter life-giving sea.
Tears. Victim can never cry
to release choked emotion.
Shall never fall as spring rain.
Tainted only tears record shall show.
Are tears of dark black blood.
Tears. That will only flow
from shattered mirror’s edge.
Across wrists laid bare to touch
slashed cross pulsating vein’s life.
To darken tiled bathroom floor.
Agony’s scream no longer heard
walls mute stand unmoved.
Time drips seeps sluggish torpid
deadening sound within deaf ears.
Agony’s scream heavenward heard?
