Regret Poem by Annabel Cruz

Regret

Rating: 4.5

We sit and talk
For hours
Our empty words
Dancing and darting
Round the flames of the fireplace
Casting  hollow shadows
That echo
With sadness, and
Regret

Perhaps if the words were from deep within the heart, along with a bottle of red wine... they would not be so empty, And everything would be fine. Fan the Flame! -Your words are so elequintly chosen, and there is much to be read between the lines... Great Write Annabel! I want to read more... -Kelly.
