Regret, But No Remorse Poem by Danny, James Archer

Regret, But No Remorse

My warm plastic tears dilute the red,
A cold doll rest’s there on my floor,
Now everything I wished I’d said,
I’ll give pardon to ignore.

This scenario was not always a photo of despair,
My loyalties were one the only thing I’d dare
To divulge under the bright lights of regret,
The aftermath was a product of all that I forget
In order to remember, the pain I must endure
And so I say to myself “I’ll give pardon to ignore.”

No more, my thoughts shall dwindle into tomorrow;
It wasn’t me inside of me, inside that house beside the tree,
I beg of thee, please pardon me, I’ve died inside if you can’t see.
I’m clocking off from noon till three, until then infinite sorrow.
