Regrets Poem by Ray Hansell

Regrets

If the choice were mine
I'd be with you all the time
If I had a say
You'd be right here today
But long ago you said
The love we shared was dead
As you made it very clear
You didn't want me here
So you went your way, I went mine
Life since then has been just fine
But now your telling me
Together we should be
Well, my life has moved on
Any feelings for you are all gone
Remember you were the one
Who had said, our love was done
Now I have a new wife
We have built a beautiful life
So please be on your way
As I have nothing else to say
