Rejoicing In A Good Deed Poem by Bryan Taplits

Rejoicing In A Good Deed

There was a day, not long ago,
This giant said to me
'Regard your friends and recall your foes
'Then you'll never need retreat.
'Remember ‘status comes and goes, my boy
'So stifle all your fears-
'A favor lasts forever
'And it will-
'all through your years.
'It is not because you remember it
'That it is such a feat
'But the one you did the favor for
'Forever he could echo-
Off your simple, pious beat.'
