Relationships - The Inner Man Poem by Paul Warren

Relationships - The Inner Man

What did you think on that day?
When I met you outside
And you stood over me
You on your bike going home
And I was going into work
Did you plan it with each selected word?
Did you savour each syllable as you spoke it?
Or was it from your soul and so it was easy
So easy to satisfy yourself all alone
Re-living it in your mind when you felt less able.
