Release Me Poem by Sara Jo Andrews

Release Me

I am sitting here, waiting, watching, and listening to time pass by.
Welcome to my world.
I’ll show you everything with arms wide open.
If I had just one request, it would be to fly with the night,
Just one last time, to feel the wind beneath my wings again
Let me out of my cage; give me the freedom I once had
Let me have the chance to show you what it’s like to be one with the night
I scream out your name, release me from my cage,
Let me show you what it’s like, fly with me into the night,
Baby let me free for just one night
Baby let my soul be free from your torment, for just one moment,
Let you soul be mine for just one moment, one night, come with me
I won’t hurt you, trust me, just give m your hand and we’ll go together.
Don’t scream, just close your eyes and feel the night and the hated place inside.
Let your soul be free with me, you’ve unleashed the demon in me.
Are you prepared for the sight you are about to see?
Leaping from the edge with you by my side, in to the night
We fall, unfurling my wings, upwards we soar,
Towards the moon we fly.
Letting its touch work its magic, you are mine to never leave
You soul twines with mine, burning in its hated place
I’m showing you my world with arms wide open
You’ll see everything my life, my soul, my demon
Turning into the creature of night, ruler of darkness
You’ll see my wings of demon’s night
Never to see light of day again, now do you wonder,
Why I wanted to be released from my cage for just one night? To engulf you with moonlight’s magic, to a place of pleasure and pain.
To dance beneath the devil’s moon, to fly through lady darkness’s night,
One kiss, one embrace, one word and forever you’ll be mine.
Release yourself from your torment and pain,
Come with me and forever be mine
I kept my promise
That I’ll show you my world
Now keep your promise
To be mine forever with the night
