Reliving This Division, Forgiving Who Shouldn'T Be Forgiven Poem by Samantha Jenks

Reliving This Division, Forgiving Who Shouldn'T Be Forgiven

If I could push the memories away

Subdue my thoughts of you

Stop dreaming of what could have been

Lose my hope we will find our way again

Realize you’re like poison in my veins

Wake up and remember I’ve always been in this alone

Trust you to keep hurting me

Find someone whose happiness is mine

End all these tears that fall for you

Stop blaming myself for our end of days

Grasp the fact that I have better times ahead

Accept the changes that are coming to enfold me

Say goodbye to a soul that that can’t be saved

Make a heart invincible and strong

Remember all the promises we never kept

Know that I deserve more than you could ever give

Then maybe I could let you go

And finally be able to live
