When you were without hope and in despair,
Remember, I was there.
When you needed someone's help and care,
Remember, I was there.
When you needed thoughts and a prayer,
Remember, I was there.
When you were told we made a beautiful pair,
Remember, I was there.

When you needed comfort and a kind word
From me it was heard,
When you needed someone to listen and hear
I was here.
And whenever you ever felt any form of attack
Remember, I had your back,
And when you needed a place to escape to go
My front door I did show.

Whenever of your truth and devotion you did swear
Remember, I was there,
Whenever you got mad and did curse and swear
Remember, I was there.
Whenever you had problems to bare
Remember, I was there,
Whenever you lied about cheating and having an affair
Remember, I was there.
