Remember Not The Poet Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Remember Not The Poet

Remember not the Poet,
When he dost leave his Mortal Life,
Remember all the Poems he wrote,
And the wisdom he did write.

Remember not the Poet,
But the words YOU gave to him,
To pass on to all the people,
That they should remember him.

Remember not the Poet,
When his name you did forget,
But of the Poetry left behind
When from this Mortal Life he fled.

Who was that Poet? ~ What was his name?
Were his poems short or long?
Written down by him,
Praising YOU LORD in song.

Please, Dear LORD, send me more words,
To Praise YOU day by day,
Whilst I still live in this Mortal World
And think of YOU ~ I pray.
