Remember Those Times We Spent Together? Poem by Valerie Anderson

Remember Those Times We Spent Together?

Remember that time, that we were together?
That we hugged each other tight?
Watching the stars in the dark sky.
In the orange moon light?

At Christmas, I sat alone with no one?
Then the doorbell had rung.
I opened the door and it was you.
You gave me red roses and the romantic tunes you sung?

On a rainy day, we sat outside?
We got soaked but with laughter.
I said I was freezing cold.
And you gave me an ermine coat of fur?

How I had always wanted a dog?
You were gone for hours on end?
And then you came back with a fluffy white puppy?
I had let my heart unbend.

My heart sings with this one song.
Never healing or forgetting.
It always reminds me of those times together.
Remember it sings. Remember?
