Remembering Poem by Marilyn Lott

Remembering

Rating: 5.0

Isn’t it fun to look back in time
With pictures to help us along
Back so many years ago
When we were young and strong

The whole world was open to us
So many directions to choose
Didn’t really matter then because
We thought we could never lose

Look there, at that picture of where
We at one time went to school
We were bright and talented too
We knew we weren’t a fool

The first place where we lived
As we got started on our feet
Where we fell in love and planned
A future that looked so sweet

Places we visited and still
The memories are in our minds
Cherished friendships as well
And many more that we’d find

So slip into the past, my friend
Thoughts that are still lingering
It’s kind of fun to take a moment
And spend some time remembering!

Yes Marilyn! I think we all have past memories worth remembering, a good thing sometimes to (slip into the past!) *10* Friend Thad
