It's been so many years
Since we shared a laugh
Where have the years gone
Why have they passed so fast?

Growing up together
A little girl and boy
Who looked at the whole world
As our own play toy

My family had to move
I had to leave you behind
Every day in that new town
You were always on my mind

But as the years went by
I heard that you married
You know in my heart
Love for you I always carried

I told you years ago
But I'll tell you once again
I love you now
The way I did back then
