From your poet's note I know that you have spent twenty four years in Chennai which was once known as Madras. The memories in your mind about Chennai and your past life there have been so incisively inscribed. I like to cite few lines here...Two more things will always with me remain: The delicious cuisine, rasam, chutney, Myriad delicacies made in heaven, Whole of lanes smelling sambhar-lined repast; Musical heritage of ancient past, Beautiful poem.

Yes, that was the longest I stayed among Bombay, Ahmedabad, Delhi, and elsewhere during my working life. The place occupies a special space in my heart. Thank you for appreciating this poem.
