Remembrance Poem by Edwina Reizer

Remembrance

So coy for me to see,
so bashful was she.
So still amid the scene,
so quiet near a stream
but with blood rushing through my heart
there was no tranquility.

So retiring with her gaze,
so dainty in her ways,
so blushing in her cheeks,
so ample with bosomy peaks
I determined to lean towards beauty
with complimentary praise.

And so my manly persistence
overcame these traits in time
as I roused in her responses
and then we both did climb
into perfect union
which changed her ways for me.
But I'll always remember
the way she used to be.
