Reminisce Poem by Arik Fletcher

A shadow drawn across the sky;
in darkness clothed I know not why;
Lamenting this eternal night;
escape is lost, no hope in sight;

Ever trapped, entombed in shade;
never freed, my memories fade;
Forever more to walk alone;
eternal darkness now my home;

Reminded of a time long gone;
no sign of light as once it shone;
Along this path I travel still;
no joy or love my heart to fill;

Denied that which could never be;
except in dream and fantasy;
Secluded here without you near;
I drift away and shed a tear.
