Reminiscence - Poem by Madhusmita Chatterjee

A sinister sandstorm erased
The last relics of my love.

Nothing remains,
But countless, mute letters
Tattered by the winds
Flying about wildly amidst
The arid dunes of my heart,
Haunting the golden granules
With a dreadful, echoing silence,
Recounting a timeless saga
Of patience and perseverance.

And a pair of fathomless eyes
Staring out of a voiceless photograph,
Reminiscing inimitable moments -
Of sweet and sour memories.
