Reminiscence-4 Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

Reminiscence-4

Reminiscence-4

An evening is born
When the day is done
And my happiness born
When she is around
Pensive and alone
And my heart sinks down
With her gloom on
Like an angel coming down
In an evening’s silent gown
She walked down the path
Lighted by cool moon
And sat beside me drowned
With wine of love
When sun went down
Went silent with a frown
Your lotus face sparkled bright
In the evening moonlight
And I saw you in solitude
That stirred my heart tonight
I could see the reflection
And feel its movement and zest
Wherein love’s charm was blest
Oh my love! thy soothing charm
Drown me with the wine of you
Fill my mouth with love of you
That to-night I may have the
Bitter-sweet taste of a soul.......
