Reminiscences On Valentine's Day Poem by Goutam Hazra

Reminiscences On Valentine's Day

Rating: 4.5

That day afternoon
umbrella cloud
every moment followed the shadow of daylight.
You were walking
within my vision
rain tried utmost
to remove the
color of your parasol.
Were you walking towards east
or west.
Today
not trying to remember
but I know
saw you somewhere.

Sat quietly
your eyes closed
in a crowded tram
standing nearby I
could see dream of your mazarine sari.
But time began to long for you
at your stop.
I know yes
seen you there.

Standing in queue
you
near the counter
and my train's time was up
obliged my busy request
but my train took me where
you were not there.
Sure I am
it was you there.

College canteen's tea
moments were brewed with cheers
suddenly seen you there
a fresher
I know now
What I lost on my last day.

Saw you
on your way to picnic
joyous with your friends,
on a kite flying day
at a distant rooftop cheering,
surprise more
saw you sweating in a traffic jam.

Saw you there.
Everywhere…
Today but
Arjyaneela, you live only in my heart.
