We became milquetoast

Weakened over the ages

Remnants now arise

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Note: I wrote this poem in the haiku style of poetry a few days ago and published it for the first time, the 22nd of June,2024. Contrary to the party line, we are not smarter or living longer but quite the opposite. A few remain with some physical and emotional strength plus some clarity of mind and will and these few will be the ones to rebuild community in the future.
