As autumn comes— life to rejuvenate,
So is remorse of a penitent heart,
If autumn leaves fall at an assigned date,
Heart all the time has, needless heft to part,
As greener sprouts give trees a fresh new start,
As weeds are hoed and tender sprouts take roots,
The trees are freed of space for youthful shoots,
Repentant heart is like nourishing rain—
Heralding growth, renewals, new inputs,
‘Lose that ye gain' is nature's old refrain.
