Repeat Of The Great Sin Poem by Saul Palti

Repeat Of The Great Sin

The darkest depths of society fill the child's mouth with rotten apples
swallow those pips with a throat shaped as a scaffold pole
and tongue so sharp it would cut glass in half to share amongst the swine
eve was watching the scene unravel from her high perch
as she would not join the play for fear of repeating the first great sin
some fell from the child's mouth as he rushed to commit
this fellowship of betrayal with the slithering torn snake who chooses
to act as the devil who tricks and deceives even the finest
of all Gods creations that have no fault or even sin for the plains
are filled with flowers and fruit to fill their joy of a life
without death or disease justices beauty to behold and enjoy
