Afterlife Poem by Saul Palti

Afterlife

Iv met with angels by the side of a fountain
white floating spirits coming forth greeting
with ageless tails throughout existence and mounting
from the lows of the ground to the highs of the mountain

a tides wave has brought together what was apart
I once was lonely but now iv found what im looking for
peace of mind and sanctuary by the side of the store
and they swore they never will separate or part

heaven barks in all directions across the plain
as I leave behind the aching chronic pain
blood fills the earth as children slit their wrists
at never once fallen in love or even been kissed

wild wolves howl into the full white moon
leaving traces of cattle dead on the grass
as wives and daughters are locked behind glass
and husbands and sons who have never left their room

they bring forth tails of where we are bound
without noise or whispers or even a sound
as my soul is taken and floats ever higher over the ground
the blind man lost has now been found
