Saul Palti Poems

I once was in love with a gypsy
she lived in a caravan
and travelled the isles of great England
she was full of tricks and was happy
...

There a letter coming through my door
signed by the highest esteem
I sit and wait by the post box eager and clean
the first of many and many more
...

Your helping me be what I want to be
for healthy as ever what can free freedom
eating for the tree is very easy
set in steel set in stone leave me Adam
...

Red and white will turn to blue
all throughout foreign land
beat to dust after refusing the hand
all for something old and new
...

The first time I wrote a book
I received a bold look
what on earth is this
the reader clenched a fist
...

This is all I wanted from life
to carry a sword and knife
he says he can sleep
under stars so weep
...

Finer things in life
flow through hands untied
sprinkles of valleys
turn to cold wet alleys
...

here were children
playing when
the shun was out
...

You trip over the feet of others
to get blamed by drunken mothers
the path of thankfulness
falls to sheets of blamelessness
...

I had visions of a better world
gold emerald blasts over head
the drunken knight is a silver
metal robe telling tails underneath
...

Thoughtful days taken by the hand
across a great and fortunate land
it was only my mind deep inside
with nowhere to escape or hide
...

Iv been working for a week
things couldn't be more bleak
I start by taking an empty seat
like a dirty piece of meat
...

You have left to go out
sure you have and never in doubt
pick up your suitcase
wipe those tears from of your face
...

To discover the finer things in life
is much as true belief
the merry go round continues
up and over the hill
...

The first time I heard your voice
I new it was true love
you soothed me into paradise
whispering from above
...

All loves fever has brought sickness
come at day to set at night
bright as light turns to dark as foul
once there now has gone
...

A long day has come to an end
under the moonlit night
we ponder our history
what was once a time ago
...

Hail the storm of trickle eye
is where I did quietly lie
underneath the hail and gust
filled with this subtle taste for lust
...

The tower is in the sky
thinking and wondering why
with a brand new flow
its where we sink below
...

I got a real bad feeling down in my gut
that the trouble has only just begun
I feel as though my history is about to get me hung
its as if iv been divorced by lady luck
...

Gypsy Girl

I once was in love with a gypsy
she lived in a caravan
and travelled the isles of great England
she was full of tricks and was happy

all the troubles went away
for she said she would always stay
as she talked in her sleep
and her heart would pound so deep

much of this was false
for she was a gypsy
and would forever talk
as I would often get her tipsy
