Repentant Lover Poem by Frank Adie

Repentant Lover

I am hurting because you are hurt,
I regret to make you feel that way,
I really didn't mean to hurt you,
I am really sorry; please forgive me.

I can imagine how betrayed you feel,
The wounds of betrayal hurt so much,
I cannot justify my action,
I can only say I am sorry.

The cacodemons sometimes fight us down,
But we must overcome to stay afloat,
Love is proven when tested by affliction,
It is by forgiveness that we can overcome.

One wrong move, can ruin a whole lot,
And a million good may never right a single wrong,
I aware of the damages I have cost,
Forgive me my love, for I love you still.
