Requiem Poem by Nina Nash

Requiem

I just want to be swallowed in this romance.
This harlequin dream
I want to be the requiem
For all that you have lost
For everything this will never be
A requiem for love,
The eulogy for passion,
An epitaph for honesty and trust.
With me dies so much,
So many pieces
They fall away
Fading like memories
Into the distant path
Because you can see through me,
You can see into me
And yet,
You cannot see at all.
You would stop if you knew
But my soul loves this suicide
So you continue to tear through.
And ecstasy becomes my requiem.
