Restore Balances Reason Myriad Consequences Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

Restore Balances Reason Myriad Consequences

medieval sight life conceptions
were virtue code armour glad knights
serving protecting in name of their lords
unable to protect possessions mere peasants

from weather extremes
diseases harvest populations
dark pestilence ravishing seasons
reason fear produces woven superstitions

explained unexplained events
minds failed to grasp situations
in ages before proof scientific facts
humans lacked precision explanations

life often slow meandering
spun into industrial expanding
birth coal steam energy gift polluting
progress control unleashes climate changing

humanity masters new possibilities sciences
industrialization factories imprisons freedoms
migration to employment riches births mega cities
global civilization shrinking resources begs new solutions

humanity walks runs sprints on reaches ever new crossroads
glaciers ice caps are melting demanding industry reaction changes
humanity must restore balances reason myriad consequences
control select choice solutions or endure new weather extremes
