Retirement Poem by Cherokee Akan Ewe

Retirement

re means again righ?
righ
tire is an image in the form of a rubber (mostly)
suitable for bicycles, motorcycles, trucks and cars
to the super rigs i drive (not including tanks which have tracks)
ment is mint which simply change the "e" into an "i"
know you were going flat or had a blowout
get your gear out and change the tire
know you are retired
and the process is called retirement...
as long as there is breath in my indigenous human body like my people
say
then we working cause seriously there is nothing else to do
so you might as well get ahead
by living to travel in your path to the fullest
just remember where you left off....

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
i hear Souls saying oh when i retire...and oh i'm about to retire...and oh my retirement is going to be like this...just imagine that as energy never stops so in essence if you stop using that same amount of energy then you lessen your stride and slow up and slow growth....
