Retirement Trauma Poem by Binu Mathew

Retirement Trauma

Rating: 5.0

As the day was drawing near,
To bid farewell to service,
He was like Marlowe's Dr. Faustus;
Full of despair and delusion,
Imagining miracles!
When heart and soul given to work,
Retirement is not rest but
Disengagement and detachment!
