Faltering voices,
once spoke glossolalia
so fervently, but
now their 'hallowed' owners have
lost precious gifts of
wonder, mercy, grace and faith.
Their eyes, glazed over,
they are like empty vessels.
The lights may be on,
but clearly no- one is home.
And Nature abhors
a vacuum. Now all manner
of false idols claim
their undivided attention.
Yet these new masters
of fame & flag & weapon
are so pitiless,
as they proclaim Western dreams:
which to the oppressed
are incredibly obscene.
O they hypnotise
the gullible among us,
while they torture and
crucify all who oppose
the extent of their
wanton, wicked ways! The fools
who follow them, like
sheep, are clearly now brain- dead.
Indeed, such people
need something or someone to
worship, rather than
look to Light within themselves,
New horrors arise
in the twinkling of an eye.
Literal truths have
a habit of attracting
the vain and unwise.
Best to stay clear of them.
