Reynaga

Reynaga

Was reading the Makook
-an online magazine
-am member

Indigenous…
Indigenous…
Indigenous…

For long I was blind
-"I too am one of them! "

Our textbooks
-thanks to shah
-devoted White-House-Dog
-were same as Hollywood
-red skin was savage

Had always seen them so
-angry I am now…

Knew not till I was in Peru
-was blind
-to Segun in Moscow
-to Luli in Khojand
-and Koli in Iran

They were called
-‘unaware! ' always thought
-they are named
-as deserved

Reynaga was start
-read of his story
-grandpa "Catari"
-was leader, arrested
-was killed as example
-ran away siblings, remaining
-left the lands and their rights
-worked on land of master
-Reynaga…
-so became Reynaga…

Silver line of cloud
-dark tunnel showing light
-indigenous, adjective
-originating, occurring naturally
-of place; of native
-even of Siberia!
-local and domestic,
-homegrown; earliest,
-or the first

Yes I am
Yes I am
Yes I am
Sure I am
Sure I am
Sure I am

Of village
Ancestors'

Andrew
A friend
The so called indigenous
-raised his voice and shouted:
-"Don't like an imposed name! "

I thought of Reynaga
-so told him:
"I get it
"I get it
"I get it
-I mean it…

So I said and:
"Got it
"I got it
"and got it
-and mean it…

Why should be
Reynaga?
Andrew?
