Ridiculous Invictus (Sorry Henley) Poem by Kevin Patrick

Ridiculous Invictus (Sorry Henley)

Rating: 5.0

If I am to be the master
of my own destiny
will that not make me a slave
to all my uncertainty
and if I'm the captain
that guides my soul
what should I do
if this ship has holes

I shall be undefeated
even when I've lost my feet

Magnificent, Kevin. I think of Hamlet and the idea one can be certain of so little, perhaps only of uncertainty. This verse goes to myfavourites.

A very straightforward write. Interesting thoughts to ponder about.
