I knew her brother... and I also knew his sister
This was many long years ago... back in the day
The hell you say! ! !
Yes twas eons ago....something
of the far distant past
They were wondering where
in the world...they might stay
Being a new family in the neighborhood
at that time they knew little about us
Thank God...! ! !
This was quite a number of years before they became
sophisticated-suave and started their space travels
Now all living on another planet or space platform
and not being in contact with each other...
Nor inclined to be so... the expanse being toooooo far
I should say something now that
I was not aware of at that time
And that something is this:
There was at that time.. an automobile named Oldsmobile
just for us toddlers... something waiting for us in the future
But we were so unaware that one must be an oldster
to really appreciate an Oldsmobile automobile
And another thing I should mention at this time is: All this took place, happened or otherwise transpired in Youngstown, Ohio
If my memory serves correctly or maybe it does not...maybe this just something I think I lived through...
Anyway...
As we were still riding tricycles back then
we knew nothing of Oldsmobiles
Nor did we care of such ridiculous matters
The luxury, the comfort, and also the status
Oh yes... twas quite a sight to see
Especially for me...
An Oldsmobile parked out front on the lawn
in such grande elegance... there on dazzling display
for everyone
This was well before the paving project
that covered everything up....
Those were the days... way back when...
But now the Oldsmobile is:
discontinued...out of production.... it is no more...for us all..
