She was right there beside me
I did nothing
I was so close
Yet
Nothing

I wanted to tell her
How I felt
That I wanted to get to know her
That I wanted to love her
Forever

I wanted to tell her
How shy I am
How hard it is for me to just make small talk
But I didnt do it

I was so close
But I failed
I just slammed my head against the window
In despair
And shame
Of how I failed myself

But I will redeem myself
I will talk to her
Tell her how I feel
Get to know her
The right way

And hopefully
She will be right there beside me
Loving and cherishing every moment
Forever
