Open eyes seem to bring
World to the forefront
Moving figures and scenes
Together with distractions.

Sense of sight we possess
Is truly a wonderful boon
It puts our life along
The complex winding track.

At times it leads us to
Noticing without knowing
Vast differences that exist
Between poverty and wealth.

Man's destruction of nature
And unwelcome acts of terror
We note with a painful heart
At times helpless to solve.

It is when we need a moment
To close our eyes and think
It will make a big difference
In finding some ways to act.

Differences will continue
Acts of man will proceed
But everyone must move toward
A rightful path to peace.
