Rise Poem by Germina Melius

Rise

Rating: 5.0

From the gloomy dust, I rise from Hades' spell to see the sun's glory on a splendid morning.
The inner man greets me.
Rise from the clay that binds you in the gutter's belly.
Rise to see your Father's radiant face watching the human soul.
Inhale the freshness of the air like spring's odour.
Hear the birds in their jubilant choral.
Rise from problems' haunting ghost.
Rise to achieve those intangible dreams floating like ships
on the ocean in your brain.
Happiness needs you.
Put wars to sleep, abandon fear like drones.
Stand in your head, the avatar's first breath.
Rise on these feet, bruised yet strength thrives in these bones, flashback at those who billowed over your head with smirks, mockery, laughter, and fables to confine your mind and mobility.
Break the chains that confine self.
Rise beyond the heavens or let the bird in you fly.
You brought my mind to ashes' bones, I rose beyond your imagination.
