Rise Of The Phoenix Poem by Sven Rhoads

Rise Of The Phoenix

Rating: 5.0

As the tears come falling down again
And the oceans begin to rise
When the darkness comes around the bend
And truth is burned alive
Now the sun has turned as black as sin
The tunnel bares to light
You're sick and tired so deep within
But I will be here by your side

This promise I make to you

Dont let them win, Dont accept to fail
A martyr isnt worth the pounding of a nail
Dont feel so lost, Dont bury yourself
I will pull you out of that hell

Should you go deep into the dark
I will brave its very depths
When you feel the stopping of your heart
I will hold back the hand of death
If you feel too numb to be loved
I will take you from the cold
Though your angels fell from above
I'll will remain here as all unfolds

I will always be here for you

And from these ruins you will rise again
I will feed the embers so your fire may burn
Dont lose your faith to rise above
You have my word, my friend, my love

Dont let them win, Dont accept to fail
This promise I make to you
Dont feel so lost, Dont bury yourself
I will always be here for you
