When the winds of malice rise, the lower self bristles, eager to return blow for blow, to mirror the storm with a tempest of its own. It knows only the language of reaction, an eye for an eye, a wound for a wound. But the higher self moves differently—rooted in the stillness of wisdom, it does not recoil in fear or strike in vengeance. It does not see an enemy in the one who harms but a soul lost in the fog of unknowing.

To repel evil with good is not weakness; it is the alchemy of the awakened heart. It does not mean to stand silent in the face of injustice, nor to submit to cruelty. It means to rise above, to meet fire not with fire but with rain. It is to quench hatred with the cool waters of understanding, to counter ignorance with knowledge, to offer light where only shadows dwell.
