Rising Sun Poem by Vijay Sai R

Rising Sun

A baby
Born in Thirukuvalai
A hamlet in Tamil Nadu
The day he was
In nineteen twenty four
Till this date
August seven
Twenty eighteen
When he was no more
A cheerful child
Very early
In his ages
Known for his
Excellent speaking skills
Patriotic personality
A man of iron fists
Seldom bowing down
To atrocity
Throughout his tenure
As a five time
Chief minister
People's people
Proudly proclaimed
As political Chanakya
Right from his child hood days
A great dias speaker
Pulling crowds
Wherever he render
Thunder and lightning
In his spine chilling discourses
Getting applause
Rhythmic flow
Sentence to sentence-
Founder of numerous schemes
All for public welfare
Flag bearer
For the poor and downtrodden
Author of several novels
A king in history writing
Powerful words
Making him
An invincible writer
An ostentatious orator-
Just half a dozen years
To century
His demise
A loss to everyone
Never be replaced
Ever by any personality-
May his soul
Rest In Peace
Long live
The greatest leader
Of all times
Our beloved Kalaignar-
The leader
Who scaled unscalable heights
Who laid the foundation stone
Of Dravida Munnetra Kalagam
The iconic symbol
The Rising Sun-
Though it sets today
As a setting sun
Only to rise
Every day
Again as
The Rising Sun!
