Risking All For The Universe Poem by Hebert Logerie

Risking All For The Universe

Rating: 5.0

It is very often said that there is a time
For everything, a time when heinous crime
Does not pay and a time to challenge
All which is too utterly strange and frange.

There's a time when the Poet comes out of his shadow
To tell it like it is for the sake of a better tomorrow
To rescue the universe, the world or the country in chaos
And to save his combating soul lost in a gigantic hiatus.

The Poet is unafraid of the deadly gun barrels when his liberty
To asseverate is seriously in jeopardy. Dying young or dying old
Does not matter to valiant and able Heroes I have been told
Living in misery and insecurity is worse than being locked up in jail
The good Poet is fearless regarding defeating the worst angels of Hell
The poet and countless good righteous citizens want to live well and free.

P.S. This poem is dedicated to all Poets, Activists, Writers, Journalists
Reporters, Pacifists, Progressive Protesters and Conscientious Objectors
In particular to the Haitian Poet, Writer and Painter, Frankétienne.
