Rita Dove Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Rita Dove

The poetess feeling
The heart
And saying
The things of her space
Personal, global, cosmopolitan
And human
Just as an American,
An African American
Clutching along
Image and imagery
And going,
Going with her strides
Brooding over
And gliding.
And passing by
To say the things
Of her heart,
What it says,
What it believes.
