River Snow By Liu Zongyuan, D.819 Poem by Eugene Levich

River Snow By Liu Zongyuan, D.819

One thousand towering mountains—no bird in flight
Ten thousand ancient paths—no footprint in sight
A solitary old fisherman on his lonely boat
Shivering in straw hat and cape under winter sleet.
