I agree it should be plain and I'll correct it. But then if you think hard, as you do, on second thoughts even plane (as an adjective) makes sense considering the word it qualifies. Yes, you Americans get away with murder.

It is often not the word as such, but how it is used, the context. But I never knew you people are so prude.
