Road Of Self Destruction Poem by William F Glennon

Road Of Self Destruction

Drowning in a river of doubt.
My feelings are gone. Why am I so weak
and you're so strong?

Clinging to a past that won't let go.
It's hard to explain why I don't change.
Time stood still long ago.

Dreams continue to haunt my soul.
If only my heart had any self-control.
Where this road takes me. I wish I knew.
