Our love
was like a first album
hitting No.1

surprising
even us
hit after hit
coming off of it.

We didn't know what we were doing right?
It was a happening man and we were us.
Like...far out!
But then we
reached that

difficult 2nd album stage
and, you know
the old story
the clash of ego
& persona

who was who
& who did what
which came first
the music or the words
and who gets
to sing lead vocals

on whose song?
It started to unravel and go successfuly...wrong.
Love, being the chosen drug
but now the overdose of hate
as amongst
bad blood, rumours & rampant tabloid stories

we
broke
up.
People still speak
of us
and say how wow you were
amazing
(full of wonder even now)
and that they wanted to be the couple we were.
They often wondered whatever happened to us.
I too
often wondering
whatever happened
to us?
