Rocket Men Poem by Bryan Taplits

Rocket Men

The children filled the room
but sad they were today,
The teacher told them that their work
Was sub-par-
so no outside to play.
So they filled the room with jokes and jousts
Appearing 'rough and tough',
And no one cried and no one sighed
But energy they had.
So all in youthful haste they jiggled-
And they wriggled-
And soon they all blasted off.
