Rolaids Spell Relief Poem by Sherri Vogel

Rolaids Spell Relief

The boy was really hungry
I saw it in his eyes
He ordered one Big Mac
Then purchased two large fries.
He ate very quickly
And then began to sigh
As he went up to order
Just one Cherry Pie.
But the pie was so delicious
He couldn't stop with one
He said he'd buy one more
And then he would be done.
But after he was finished
He made a big mistake
He walked up to the counter
And bought a Chocolate Shake.
He drank it very quickly
And didn't leave a drop
And as he rose to leave
He simply had to stop.
He could not go any further
He had to sit and rest
His stomach started aching
There was pain inside his chest.
Then along came an old lady
With a sad look on her face
I guess you ate too much
It's simply a disgrace.
There's something I can give
To help you this fine day
If you chew this and swallow
Your pain will go away.
So he placed it in his mouth
And then began to chew
And a couple minutes later
He whispered, 'I Thank You.'
And walking toward the door
He sighed in disbelief
I guess it's really true
'Rolaids Spell Relief.'
